Ready to gain confidence in woodworking? Join our Beginner’s Mitre Saw Course, where you’ll learn to master the Mitre Saw—a versatile and essential tool in woodworking!

What you will learn....

In this hands on Course, run over TWO sessions, you will discover:

  • IThe essential parts of the mitre saw and how to use it
  • IHow to safely operate the tool in your own home
  • ITechniques to make cross cuts, bevel cuts, mitre cuts, and compound cuts—the key skills needed for making picture frames, door frames, skirting boards, and carpentry trim work
Beginners Carpentry Courses - Mitre Saw Skills

As you learn these techniques, you will also be working on a custom project piece (as seen in the photo) that you’ll take home at the end of the course – your own creation, built from scratch!

Mitre Saw in Action

    What we provide

    We will provide all materials, tools etc. However, if you want to bring along your own tools, ongoing projects etc. then feel free to do so.

    We also have hot drinks – tea, coffee etc. Feel free to bring your own additional refreshments, if you want to.

    What should you bring

    We recommend wearing old clothing, and sturdy shoes.
    If you would like to bring your own PPE (Personal Protectve Equipment), please feel free to do so. We will provide PPE, but we know that some people would prefer to use their own. (We recommend that you mark them up with your names, so that you can identify them)
