Daytime Beginners DIY Club
We recommend wearing old clothing, and sturdy shoes. In the colder months, we suggest that these are warm, or layered. It can get cold in the Workshop.
If you would like to bring your own PPE (Personal Protectve Equipment), please feel free to do so. We will provide PPE, but we know that some people would prefer to use their own. (We recommend that you mark them up with your names, so that you can identify them)
Our Early New Year DAYTIME (Beginners) DIY Club begins on Friday 17th January 2024. The DIY Club will run on Friday mornings for a 4-week term up until February 7th

Our DAYTIME Beginners DIY Club provides a safe space to learn and practise new DIY skills. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with plenty of space to learn practical skills, and DIY tips and tricks, at your own pace, and in your own way.
Over the 4-week term, you will get an all-round grounding in essential DIY skills, which will give you the confidence to tackle some DIY projects at home.
What you will learn....
Sessions will start at 10am, but the format is very relaxed, so feel free to turn up when you are ready. We aim to finish the sessions between 12- 12.30pm.
We have a wide-range of tools, and lots of space to practise in. If there is something that you specifically want to cover, we’re very happy to head off on tangents and cover issues that you are experiencing at home.
What we provide
We will provide all materials, tools etc. However, if you want to bring along your own tools, ongoing projects etc. then feel free to do so.
We also have hot drinks – tea, coffee etc. Feel free to bring your own additional refreshments, if you want to.

Head towards St Peter's Hospice Shop, and you will see bePractical DIY Workshop just on the left, behind the scaffolding.
