How DIY Assist works
We imagine you have a DIY Jobs list at home………. Don’t we all?
We stare at the growing list, wondering whom we need to call to get the job done.
Could we do it ourselves?
In the meantime the DIY Jobs list grows; the problems seem to get a bit worse.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could do at least some, if not all of the jobs yourself?

- Maybe you have just moved into your New Home, and you would like someone to help you go through how things work, talk about potential projects, discuss the order you need to do then in......
- Perhaps you have a burning desire to install your own Kitchen, but want some reassurance that you have the skills you need, or would like a bit of additional support through the project.
- Maybe you have a very long ist of jobs, and just don't know where to start. You feel you ought to be able to do some of them, but just don't have the confidence or tools to get going.
The DIY Assist Menu
We’re trying to cover all bases with our DIY Assist Service. We have several options, but don’t feel tied down to those. If you need something else, just let us know.
We can be very flexible. After all that’s what DIY is all about.
Face to Face Consultation (2 Hours)
We visit you to go through your jobs list in situ.
We can physically look at everything together. We may even be able to try some things out.
We can give you pointers, and if we have time, get a couple of things started, or at least planned.
This may be enough, or you may want to extend it into a longer session in the future. Its all entirely up to you.

New Home Consultation (2 Hours)
Just moved into a new Home?
Not sure how everything works?
Where does the water turn off?
How do you re-pressurise the Boiler? (What does that even mean?)
You have a few jobs you’d like to do, but would like to talk them through before you get them started.
Video Consultation (1 Hour)
Like a Face to Face Consultation, but without me being able to get my hands dirty.
We can chat about things and you can show me around virtually.I can give you advice, or pointers as to how to tackle things; who you need to speak to etc.
The video will be recorded, so that you have a record to go back to, if you need to.
If you prepare me for what you want to talk about, I can prepare some options to demonstrate to you on the video, if that work
Cost: £48 (incl. VAT)
Half-Day Hands-on (3.5 Hours)
These are usually morning or afternoon, but timings can be a bit flexible.
The idea is that you will be learning by doing. We will be there to suggest solutions, techniques, ideas etc. but really this is all about you having a go at doing things yourself.
Unlike with You Tube videos, you have someone with you for support; to help you when things go to plan.
We want you to discover that you can do it! That you will be able to do things yourself, even when we’re not there.
We bring our tools, but if you have your own tools, then we will try to use them as much as we can, so that you learn with what you will be using on a regular basis.
Cost: £120 (incl. VAT)
Full Day Hands-on (7 Hours)
Much as for a Half-Day DIY Assist, but twice as long, so twice the fun and twice the learning…..
Cost: £240 (incl VAT)
Bespoke DIY Assist
It wouldn’t be DIY Asist if we couldn’t adapt to changing circumstances.
If none of the options quite work for you, just let us know what you need.
Maybe you just need a session in the Workshop, so that you can take some skills home with you.
