Learn the Lingo; even if you’re not the one doing the plumbing, at least you’ll be able to chat with a plumber without feeling like you’re speaking a different language. This way, you can make sure you get the results you need when plumbing work is done in your home.
This a thoroughly hands-on DIY workshop, which will teach you good practice and explain how plumbing works. You won’t even get wet!
You will get to use plumbing tools and fittings, so that you feel confident to deal with issues at home.
We recommend that you complete this course before you attend any of our other DIY Plumbing workshops. You will gain the essential DIY plumbing skills on this course. These will ensure that you get the most out of our other DIY plumbing courses.
As with all our workshops, we want you to leave our DIY Plumbing Course with greater understanding and bags of DIY confidence.

All of our DIY Courses are taught be female tutors at our DIY Workshop in Brislington Village, Bristol.
What we provide
We provide all materials, tools etc. However, if you want to bring along your own tools, ongoing projects etc. then feel free to do so.
We also have hot drinks - tea, coffee etc. Feel free to bring your own additional refreshments, if you want to.
What should you bring?
We recommend wearing old clothing, and sturdy shoes. In the colder months, we suggest that these are warm, or layered. It can get cold in the Workshop.
If you would like to bring your own PPE (Personal Protectve Equipment), please feel free to do so. We will provide PPE, but we know that some people would prefer to use their own. (We recommend that you mark them up with your names, so that you can identify them)
What next?
We see our Plumbing Confidence Workshop as our entry-level DIY plumbing course.
You will gai essential DIY Plumbing knowledge and skills. This will give you the confidence to go on to any of our other Plumbing DIY courses. You will no longer feel like a DIY Beginner.
Our More Plumbing Skills – Taps, Traps & Wastes course, directly follows on from this course. You will learn to deal with the eternal Bristol issue of dripping taps. Its not as difficult as you might think.
We are confident that you will go home with new DIY confidence. You will no longer feel like a DIY Beginner, and will be raring to get on with some DIY tasks at home.
