Now to the important part.
We’re guessing you want to find out what our courses cost before you spend time trawling through all the detail.
We have tried to keep the prices as straightforward as possible. There are no hidden extras. All tools, materials, expertise, tea, coffee, VAT, you name it, are included in the price.
We restrict our class sizes to a maximum of 4 people. We want you to have as much support and attention as you need, and plenty of time to learn. And, most importantly, we want to keep you safe.
At the moment we can’t afford to offer concessionary prices. We wish we could. As soon as we can, we will be offering these.
Bitesize DIY Classes
Our Bitesize courses are 2 hours long. They are designed to give you a quick introduction to a DIY Skill or tool. They’re still very hands-on, but will only cover a small limited aspect of DIY. Great if you’re just looking to find out about one small aspect of DIY
Half-day DIY Courses
Our Half-day courses are 3½ hours long. They are much more comprehensive that our Bitesize Courses.
At the end of a Half-day course we want you to leave feeling that you have had a thorough all-round introduction to an aspect of DIY. You will have had a good opportunity to put some skills into practice, and are raring to get on with some DIY at home.
A word of Advice…..
Although a few people have done two half day courses in a day, we really recommend that you don’t try that. The Half day courses are packed full of information and new hands-on stuff. People who have been brave enough to do two courses in a day, generally start to take on a bit of glazed look about half way though the afternoon, and possibly don’t get as much out of the session as they could.
We don’t want to turn people away, but we do want you to get as much out of the courses as you can.
DIY Clubs
Our DIY Clubs are held over 4 weeks. Each session lasts for 2 hours. (The price includes all 4 sessions). DIY Clubs are very relaxed and fun. Lots of collaboration, and problem solving.
Although we try to make sure we cover core skills, we also cover issues that you bring to the session. If you have a DIY problem at home, bring photos, videos etc. and we talk through, and even practise, solutions.
DIY Carpentry Courses
Our DIY Carpentry Classes are held over 3 weeks. Each session lasts for 3½ hours, held on the same day and time each week. So these are equivalent to 3 half-day courses.
The courses will concentrate on teaching a particular skills area, and you will build a unique piece which you will be able to take home and display proudly on your wall. We’ll even make sure that you know how to attach it securely to a wall. So no worries there.
The price includes all three sessions and the cost of all the materials as well as the teaching.
DIY Assist
With DIY Assist, we come to you. In the same way that you would pay a Tradesperson to work in your home, you pay us to support you in your home. The difference is that while working in your home, we are also teaching you, so that you don’t need to call Tradespeople in.
We will bring the tools we need, and advise you on materials you will need.
We fit DIY Assist in around our other courses, so availability will be variable.

We tell everyone who comes on one of our DIY courses or DIY Clubs, that we are very happy to provide ongoing DIY Support whenever you need it.
