This INTERMEDIATE Bitesize DIY Course introduces you to using a Jigsaw.

These powerful tools can appear a little daunting at first sight, but used properly, they can make DIY jobs so much easier.

This Bitesize-DIY course will give you an introduction to using Jigsaws safely and effectively, so that you have the confidence to start using them at home on your own DIY projects.

Using a jigsaw

Ideally you will have some familiarity with Power Tools, and it would be advantageous to be able to use a Cordless Drill, as we will be using those during the session.

This short “Bitesize DIY” Course could be just for you.

What you will learn….

  • How a Jigsaw works
  • How to choose & install Jigsaw Blades
  • How to cut intricate shapes, & scribe, using a Jigsaw
  • How to get the most out of a Jigsaw
  • Above all, you will gain the confidence to use Jigsaws in your DIY projects at home

At bePractical DIY, we are here to guide you through learning DIY skills,  demystifying it and equipping you with the essential know-how to tackle DIY tasks confidently in your own home.

What we provide……

We will provide all materials, tools etc. However, if you want to bring along your own tools, ongoing projects etc. then feel free to do so.

We also have hot drinks – tea, coffee etc. Feel free to bring your own additional refreshments, if you want to.

What should you bring……

We recommend wearing old clothing, and sturdy shoes.
If you would like to bring your own PPE (Personal Protectve Equipment), please feel free to do so. We will proide PPE, but we know that some people would prefer to use their own. (We recommend that you mark them up with your names, so that you can identify them)

Drilling 101 is designed for Complete DIY Beginners. From here you will be able to go anywhere.
