Intermediate DIY Club – Late Summer 2024

Our Summer 2024 Inclusive “Intermediate” DIY Club begins on Monday 22nd July.

For this term, we will be running an Intermediate DIY Club. This is at the request of previous DIY Club participants who felt that they would like to move onto the next level. 

The Intermediate DIY Club will run for a  4-week term up until August 12th.

Sessions will start at 6.30pm, but the format is very relaxed, so feel free to turn up when you are ready. We aim to finish the sessions between 8.30 and 9pm.

The DIY clubs are to provide you with an opportunity to learn and practise new skills. We have a wide-range of tools, and lots of space to practise in. We will be working with more advanced Power Tools, such as Jigsaws & Circular Saws; learning some more Plumbing skills. These Clubs are guided by you, so if there are some burning DIY issues that you would like to tackle, please let us know, and we will do our best to incorporate them. 

The Intermediate DIY Club is aimed at people who already have some practical experience. If you feel that you are a complete DIY Beginner, we recomend that you attend one of our Nailing it! DIY Fundamentals Courses or Beginners DIY Clubs first. This will give you all the DIY confidence you need to get the most out of the DIY Clubs.

bePractical DIY Clubs are aimed at people with a little bit of practical experience. If you feel that you are a complete DIY Beginner, we recommend that you attend one of our Nailing it! DIY Fundamentals Courses first. This will give you all the DIY confidence you need to get the most out of the DIY Clubs. We are trying to run as many Nailing it! courses as we can, so that we help you learn those all important basic skills as quickly as possible

What we provide…..

We will provide all materials, tools etc. However, if you want to bring along your own tools, ongoing projects etc. then feel free to do so.

We also have hot drinks – tea, coffee etc. Feel free to bring your own additional refreshments, if you want to.

What should you bring with you  …..

We recommend that you wear old clothing, and sturdy shoes.
If you would like to bring your own PPE (Personal Protectve Equipment), please feel free to do so. We will provide PPE, but we know that some people would prefer to use their own. (We suggest that you mark them up with your name, so that you can identify them)
